Our aim is to bring players, families, and supporters together to grow the sport in a fun and supportive environment. From athletes to volunteers, everyone helps make our community stronger.

Girls Baseball Fun Day Sunday

This is an annual event to offer young girls the opportunity to experience playing baseball in an all-female environment, which is something that’s not always accessible to everyone.

In Nova Scotia, we’re fortunate to have the Bluenose League, which provides excellent all-girls’ baseball programs at the 12U, 14U, and 17U levels across the province. Because so many girls in those age groups already benefit from that league, this event is designed to focus on those who haven’t yet had the chance to enjoy that kind of experience.

This event focuses on younger or underserved players who are just beginning their baseball journey.

Challenger Baseball

Challenger Baseball is a program that provides an opportunity for children and youth with cognitive, sensory and/or physical disabilities to enjoy the full benefits of participating in organized baseball at a level structured to their abilities.

Members of our league volunteer to be a buddy each year!

Canada Day Parade

This year we participated in the Sackville Community Days Canada Day parade, representing the league and having a great time showing off our team spirit and sponsors.

Volunteer Opportunities

Umpires

NSMBWD is a member of Baseball Nova Scotia and can hire BNSUD Umpires.

If no BNSUD umpires are available, we are able to hire unofficial umpires at a rate of $30/plate and $20/base.

  • Are you or your teen interested in becoming an umpire, but not sure if it’s for you? 
  • Did you take the course but never bought the uniform because you weren’t ready to commit?
  • Have you played baseball for years and know the rules?
